Clevland, MI communities grieve after apparent lynching of Black Delta State University Student Demartravion “Treyy” Reed.
Police Chief Micheal Peeler has written the lynching off as a suicide.
This has sparked outrage within the community.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement unlawfully detained Daniela Joly Serrano, a petroleum engineer and asylum seeker from Columbia.
Daniela is was initially detained in at Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, GA.
She has since been transfered to El Paso. Her family has not be allowed a visitation since.

The meeting was brief, but seemingly impactful on the relationship between the two countries.

Portlanders hold moment of silence on Burnside Bridge:
honoring the 5th anniversary of George Floyd's Death

Portlanders marched to Burnside Bridge and hold a 9 minute and 29 second moment of silence to honor the 5th anniversary of George Floyd's death.
George Floyd was murdered by former MPD officer Derek Chauvin.
This demonstration recreated the iconic protest that occured on the bridge in 2020.
City Council to save Parks funding in last minute vote with Police Budget “Uncrease”

City Council approves amendment spear-headed by Avalos and Morillo to reallocate funding from Mayor Wilson's proposed police budget increases towards covering Wilson's cuts towards Parks Maintenance.

On Wednesday Mayor Keith Wilson laid out his FY 2025-26budget proposal.
This proposal is a first for the new city government, which had recently finished its transition to a mayor-council form back in January.
This proposal seeks to address a $93 million shortall in the city's budget.
